Your eyes don't know where to look first, their beautiful packaging, exclusive china and brightest chocolate creations come at you. They have also been known for years for their Christening Sugar, Heleen guides the moms-to-be, to design together the most creative sugar beans, which you can hand out at the birth of your baby. Heleen joined the business in 2013 , after the sudden death of her dad Ron (co-founder). Their artisanal dessert cookies must be tasted, these have since become world-famous! History of Elixir d'Anvers In addition to cookies, there are also chocolate hands, originally without filling. Since 1982, there have been variants with marzipan and Elixir d'Anvers, and with praline filling. Elixir d'Anvers is also an original Antwerp product. Elixir d'Anvers is an herbal liqueur made since 1863 by the Antwerp liqueur distillery of the De Beukelaer family (the NV FX De Beukelaer). The founder, François-Xavier De Beukelaer, born in Ekeren on April 18, 1838, perfected the recipe in 1863 after years of experimentation. The liqueur quickly became known for its good digestive and beneficent properties. Among other things, it was also used against colic in horses. The liqueur is still produced according to this original recipe. The liqueur distillery was first located at the Paardenmarkt in Antwerp. Since 1894, the company has been located at Haantjeslei. FX De Beukelaer is one of the oldest distilleries in Belgium. 32 different varieties of plants and herbs form the basis of this liqueur. They are first macerated and then distilled. The result then matures in oak barrels. In total, the production process takes about five months. Elixir d'Anvers can be drunk pure or with ice or in coffee, as well as incorporated into all kinds of cocktails. The liqueur can also be used in gastronomy.
